Many factors contribute to an ideal site. We look for sites with high traffic, good visibility from main streets and intersections, good signage potential, and nearby traffic generators such as movie theaters or office/housing complexes. Stores range from 500 to 1,500 square feet total space. What is the Initial Franchise Fee? The Initial Franchise Fee is $22,500, payable upon signing of your franchise agreement. How do I find my location? Most franchisees know the area in which they are interested in opening a Smoochies store. We help you contact local real estate agents for their help and encourage you to look for available space on your own. We provide you with the guidance to go about your search. What is the total investment needed to open a Smoochies? The total initial investment ranges from between $146,000 and $273,200, including the initial franchise fee of $22,500. It is recommended that you have a minimum of $75,000 in cash. What is included in the initial investment amount? The initial investment covers identifying an appropriate site, construction and furnishing of your location, a complete equipment package, initial training, 30 days' inventory, and working capital. Who is responsible for construction, furnishing, and equipping the location? The franchisee is responsible for construction, furnishing, equipping and all other costs to open your Smoochies Store. We provide guidance and support to you throughout the process through and including the grand opening. What does the training program consist of? Training consists of 14 hours of classroom instruction plus approximately 2 weeks of hands-on training in our stores. The training program touches on all facets of shop operations including business philosophy, hiring and training, inventory, food preparation, sanitation, employee relations, financial management, and serving the customer. You will also receive an operations manual to help you run your location efficiently. What is the length of the franchise agreement? The initial term of our franchises is ten years.
